For over forty years, American Collectors Insurance has been serving a community of collectors nationwide. We\u2019re proud of the bonds we\u2019ve built with policyholders throughout the nation, but we\u2019re even more proud of the ways we\u2019ve been able to give back through our charitable initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We don\u2019t focus our giving on a specific mission or vision, but simply empowering people to make an impact in their communities. These are just a few of the philanthropic organizations and charity drives we support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Lacroce Foundation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our support of the Joseph Lacroce Foundation<\/a> was a no-brainer for us at American Collectors, as it combines two things we all love: cars and helping kids in need. This organization was formed in our own backyard here in New Jersey, with a mission to bring smiles to the faces of hospitalized children at the Virtua hospital in Southern New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formerly known as Carz N\u2019 Toys, the generosity of their benefactors has allowed the foundation to expand its scope, providing so much more than just toys to children in need. The foundation still provides toys and books to sick children, but also provides help in a variety of other meaningful ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the work of the Joseph Lacroce Foundation helps fund initiatives at Virtua Health Systems, Osborn Family Health Center, and Weisman Children\u2019s Rehab Centers. Recently, the foundation made a one million dollar donation to fund the creation of a mobile pediatric services program that benefits many children here in New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We work with the Joseph Lacroce Foundation for their annual car show, where all exhibitors and attendees are asked to bring one new and unwrapped toy for a child in need. There\u2019s also a 50\/50 raffle with the proceeds contributing directly to the foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toys For Tots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

American Collectors Insurance also works closely with Toys For Tots<\/a>. Founded in 1947, Toys For Tots was started by the United States Marine Corps Reserve to provide some much-needed happiness to children who sadly don\u2019t have much to look forward to around the holidays. By making sure there are toys each holiday season, Toys For Tots can provide hope for children everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, the foundation collects toys via nationwide toy drives and also raises money through donations and events to supplement the purchase of additional toys. The foundation works tirelessly year-round, coordinating toy drives, collecting toys, sorting, and storing them for distribution during the holiday season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the holidays arrive, the toys are distributed to needy kids across every community by local social welfare agencies, community agencies, and church groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Collectors is a designated drop off location in the South Jersey region for the foundation. Our employees and policyholders drop off toys during the holidays, and each year, our collection of donations continues to grow, which makes us so happy to see. Our annual donations are a testament to our generous policyholders and team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cherry Hill Thanksgiving Food Drive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our team is proud to give back to needy families in our own backyard through the Cherry Hill Township Thanksgiving Food Drive, which benefits the Cherry Hill Food Pantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage our team to bring canned goods and other non-perishable items as often as possible to benefit families in need during the holidays. We work closely with Cherry Hill Township, and we love seeing our offices turn into a food pantry during the lead up to Thanksgiving each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In previous years, we\u2019ve filled over twenty massive boxes with canned goods and nonperishables for the food pantry. From there, representatives from the food pantry come and pick up our donations for distribution to families in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe that every family deserves a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner, and each year, we look forward to a new chance to outdo our donation from the previous year so that we can provide even more help within our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Get Involved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re proud of the impact we\u2019re able to have through the various charitable initiatives we support. But, we wouldn\u2019t be able to have nearly as much impact without the help and generosity of our policyholders and staff. There are a variety of ways to get involved with the charities we support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage our policyholders to stop by our offices to donate new and unwrapped toys and to support the great work that organizations like Toys For Tots and the Joseph Lacroce Foundation are doing by attending special events or making donations directly.
